Many parents want to help find jobs for teens, for their children. Part-time jobs are perfect for teens so they don't put their school work in jeopardy. It's also a great way to transition your child to learn about responsibility.

Before you find jobs for teens you should always first check with their schools. Some states require your teen to have a work permit, and all part-time jobs would be required to see that before hiring. The permit insures that the parent and the teen understand the rules of a teen working. There are guidelines of how many hours, how often, and when a teen can work. It's important to get the permit first.

A great place to start is with your child. Talk to your teen about their interests, and places they would like to work. For instance, if they like animals, maybe you can inquire about part-time jobs at pet stores, animal hospitals, and even shelters. It never hurts to ask.

Your child might even have a store in mind of where they want to work. You can put applications in all over the place, but you might want to save yourself the hassle by asking first how old you need to be to work for them. This will save you a lot of time, energy, and aggravation if you take the time to make sure they have jobs for teens. Not all part-time jobs hire teenagers. Delis in some state are required by law to make sure that all their employees that operate the cheese slicer are 18 and older.

Take a walk through the mall. Stop by the mall office first, as some mall offices will have a listing of which stores are hiring. Even if a place is not currently hiring, it doesn't hurt to put in an application at your favorite stores anyway.

Newspaper routes are often jobs for teens, because they are part-time jobs. Working at a supermarket, bringing in shopping carts, packing bags, etc could be a great choice in part-time jobs.

Tutoring jobs are also another great way to earn money for teens. If your teen is very sport-like minded, you may want to consider looking into the local pools so they can be a lifeguard, or their local baseball and softball teams to see if they can become an umpire.

Some teens can make their own part-time jobs, and start their own businesses. A service business is fairly easy to start. They can mow lawns, pick up dog waste, or perform any kind of service that might be needed within their community. These types of jobs can be rewarding, when you can see a difference in the end. Teens today are a lot more computer savvy, your teen might like offering the older people in the neighborhood if they would like computer help. Many people would love to learn more about computers, because they find them so intimidating.

EBay could be another avenue of making money on the internet. Selling items around the home is a great way to make money, and does become part-time jobs for most people.

Jobs for teens exist, but when they aren't hiring, your teen can create their own place of work with a little creativity. It's about teens making money, and learning responsibility.
