Danett has been working with children and teens, providing school-based counseling for almost 10 years through the public school system. She facilitates research-based social skills groups for children with various emotional disabilities as well as those who are on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbellteenfamilytherapy.com\/services\/testing-evaluations\/autism-evaluation\/\">autism<\/a> spectrum. Danett also provides individual counseling using a combination of approaches, including play-based, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is available for telehealth counseling services for children and adolescents at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a Licensed Educational Psychologist, Danett is a skilled evaluator and is able to provide thorough psychoeducational assessments as well as neuropsychological evaluations. She administers insightful evaluations in all areas, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbellteenfamilytherapy.com\/services\/child-therapy\/add-adhd\/\">Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder<\/a>, Specific Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and various psychological disorders. She enjoys providing IQ testing for giftedness and has a special interest in twice exceptional children and teens. As a gifted learner in K-12 herself, she is sensitive to the needs and experiences of gifted students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Danett has achieved Level I Certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childtrauma.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Bruce Perry\u2019s Child Trauma Academy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. She is knowledgeable regarding dissociation in childhood\/adolescents and provides consultation to other area therapists regarding this concern. She is able to work effectively with a variety of youth issues including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, as well as those resulting from severe childhood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbellteenfamilytherapy.com\/services\/teen-therapy\/trauma\/\">trauma<\/a> such as Reactive Attachment Disorder.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Danett is also a public speaker and consultant for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/blue-campaign\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U.S. Department of Homeland Security<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> regarding domestic commercial sexual exploitation of children (\u201cCSEC\u201d). She has had the opportunity to provide CSEC training to Kinship Foster Care, Child Protective Services, school teachers, school counselors, and various agencies. She is happy to provide assistance with these sensitive cases, including consultation, evaluation of resulting disorders, and she likes to provide direction to families, guardians, and agencies to assist youth survivors of this heinous crime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her free time, Danett enjoys cycling, swimming, hiking, walking, gardening, traveling, and the sport of triathlon.
