FOOD SERVICE ATTENDANT I
The Food Service Attendant I (FSA I) performs a variety of dishwashing and service duties including receives/soaks/feeds soiled dishes/equipment/utensils into dish machine and unloads clean dishes and places them in designated locations. Performs a variety of cleaning duties including loading patient trays into delivery carts, and may assist on the patient tray assembly line as directed.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Receives/scrapes/soaks/feeds soiled dishes/equipment/utensils into pot/pot and pan machine.
Unloads/puts away clean dishes and equipment.
Inspects dishes/equipment after cleaning and consistently rejects soiled items for rewashing.
Handles all dishes/glassware/equipment carefully, preventing excessive breakage.
Empties garbage and cleans/sanitizes garbage receptacles.
Cleans up assigned work areas/equipment as per directions/schedule; cleans assigned storage area floors.
Safely operates equipment used within the area of work.
Reports malfunctions/breakdowns of equipment to Supervisor immediately.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Current Food Handler's permit required. Must be 16 years of age or older.
